Performance Talks: 2024 predictions and trends



Throughout 2023, we featured some of the world's most distinguished marketers in our Performance Talks series, talking strategy, performance and leadership skills that can help take your business to the next level. While a wealth of knowledge was shared, one theme stood out above the rest: In 2023 we saw AI drive performance and inform the strategy for some of the most innovative companies we know today.

As we enter 2024, we spoke to our partners and leaders at Meta to hear their take on what’s next. Here are the top trends they predict will shape digital advertising performance in the new year:

  1. Messaging will help businesses get more done: People want to communicate with businesses the same way they communicate with friends and family - sending a message. In 2024, people and businesses will get more done right within a chat.
  2. Creative natively built for Reels will drive better campaign performance: With over 200 billion reels plays per day across Instagram and Facebook, Reels continues to turn attention into action. Businesses will continue to meet new and existing customers where they consume content with strong creative built natively for Reels to see even better campaign performance.
  3. A new era of AI digital experiences will unlock results: Generative AI tools will help businesses create and scale ads quicker and more effectively. AI will move from being a buzzword to a staple that will help creative teams generate more output and learn what drives the best performance.
